Description

Submersible pump T

Model T: the SCHMITT submersible pump

The term "submersible pump" describes a stationary pump that is immersed in the medium to be pumped. This type of pump solution is particularly suitable if containers or immersion baths cannot be flange-mounted on the side or if dry running in the system cannot be ruled out.

Technical data

  • Materials: PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) or PP (polypropylene)
  • Vertical sealless immersion pumps
  • Dry-run safe.

Construction principle of centrifugal and submersible pumps

The submersible pump is an assembly of the centrifugal pump, which you will also find in different versions in our range. Both centrifugal and submersible pumps use centrifugal force to transport the medium: The central component is an impeller, which ensures that the pressure inside the pump is below that in the pressure pipe. This ensures that the pumped medium is transported reliably and smoothly.

How the submersible pump T works

In a T series submersible pump, the motor power is transmitted vertically to the pump impeller via an extended shaft. This rotating shaft is supported exclusively by the two motor bearings and therefore runs completely contact-free and wear-free inside the housing. Due to the design of the submersible pump, the use of bearing and shaft seals is not necessary.

Advantages of a submersible pump T:

  • Dry-running safe due to the fact that it is mechanically contactless
  • Highest chemical resistance
  • Robust, thick-walled construction
  • Durable and wear-free
  • Designed for operation under demanding conditions
  • Open impeller (solids up to 3 mm grain size and 10 % by volume possible)
  • No abrasion in the pumped medium (high purity applications)
  • No wetted metal parts
  • Easy to maintain
  • Universally applicable, quiet and compact
  • Various chemical-resistant materials available from stock
  • in standardised immersion depths.

Application examples:

  • Wafer production
  • Gas and exhaust air scrubbers
  • Environmental technology
  • Printed circuit board production
  • Laboratory and medical technology
  • Galvanisation
  • Semiconductor technology
  • Waste water treatment
  • Solar cell production
  • Circulation and mixing tasks.
