About Us

At Almatechnik TDF, we are proud of our history. What began as a small family business has developed four decades later into a large group of companies, established in ten countries and carrying out projects all over the world. Técnica de Fluidos has established itself as a major player in the Spanish and international market and enjoys the support of leading international manufacturers as well as the trust of all its customers.

Founded in 1976, the TDF Group has established itself as a leader in the manufacture, distribution, and installation of pumping equipment and related products.

ORIGIN

In 1976, Aurelio Maestre Losada founded the company Técnica de Fluidos. After returning from Germany with his family, he set up the first TDF offices in Calle Xifré in Barcelona. With just 3 employees and very few resources, Aurelio was constantly travelling around Spain to publicise the company and win customers in a what was then an under-developed market.

Aurelio Maestre's passion for good service quickly paid off, and TDF was supported by major international manufacturers such as ITT Jabsco and Lutz-Pumpen, who we still have contracts with today.

The company's growth led to its first move in the 1980s to its emblematic offices in Calle Marina. At the end of the 1990s, brands such as PCM and Wilden were taken over, making Técnica de Fluidos the leading company on the Spanish market.

GEOGRAPHIC EXPANSION AND INTERNATIONALISATION OF THE TDF GROUP

The beginning of the 21st century saw the geographical expansion and internationalisation of the TDF Group. Subsidiaries were founded in Europe: initially in Portugal, followed by France, Poland, Switzerland and Romania, as well as in South America: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. All centres are independent and have their own stock, but maintain the same spirit of customer service.

The company's first market was never overlooked, and new offices were opened in Madrid and Bilbao, whilst growth continued outside Spain. In addition, the remaining areas are covered by external commercial technicians, which guarantees customer proximity and speed of response.

With the aim of offering a professional and personalised service for each sector, teams of specialists were formed in each of the main markets: general industry, food and laboratories, water treatment, construction and recreational water sports.

ALBERTO MAESTRE HOFFMANN: MODERNISATION OF TDF

In 2004, the generation change within TDF took place. Alberto Maestre Hoffmann, who had been with the company for years, took over and a new phase began, promoting international projection and creating new business areas. In the same year, the company received the ISO 9001 quality certificate.

Although the main business is pump equipment, accessories and related products are beginning to reach such a scale that they are ultimately new business areas in their own right. Técnica de Fluidos does not hesitate to allocate resources to offer its customers the best possible service, creating a department for each product line (filtration, instrumentation and mechanical seals). All of these new lines are managed by our own teams of experts.

Due to the growing demand in the market, Técnica de Fluidos began to supply complete turnkey systems. Today, TDF Systems' technicians are able to design, manufacture, install and implement innovative solutions for the transfer, filtration and dosing of liquids. At the same time, TDF's technical customer service specialises in maintenance, repair and commissioning.

With workshops in Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao and Tarragona, we offer a personalised, local and high-quality service. Each of these tasks can be carried out on the customer's premises.
