Areas of application

 

Pumping salt water, weak acids and alkalis or other corrosive liquids. Pumping of water- or oil-based emulsions at temperatures up to 150°C. Used in harsh environments and in applications where a particularly robust pump is required.

NORMAL-PRIMING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS

WITH DOUBLE-ACTING MECHANICAL SEAL

  • Housing and impeller material: Stainless steel precision casting 1.4571 (V4A)
  • Elastomer materials: EPDM, FKM (e.g. Viton®), FEP, FFKM (e.g. Kalrez®)
  • Mechanical seal materials: SiC (silicon carbide), graphite carbon, PTFE-GF, Al2O3 ceramic
  • Media-contact metal parts: Stainless steel 1.4571 (V4A)

The UP-DO series is the counterpart to the U-DO series for applications where the use of a plastic pump is not possible, e.g. due to increased temperature requirements of up to 150°C. It is equipped with a double-acting mechanical seal that is lubricated and cooled by the pumped medium. Sliding rings and elastomers are available in various materials, the spring is made of Hastelloy® C4.

Solids up to 3 mm grain size and 10 % by volume can also be transported. The viscosity can be up to 150 mPas, the maximum media temperature, depending on the version, is 150°C. All sizes are also available in ATEX-certified versions under the designation UP-EX for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2.
