Almatec CXM
Description
Air-operated diaphragm pump in the CXM series
ALMATEC air-operated diaphragm pumps of the CXM series are used as general feed pumps for the lower to medium performance range, e.g. also as drum pumps.
Thanks to its modular design, the new CXM series from ALMATEC is available in four sizes with NPT product connections and three sizes with pipe threads. The position of the suction and pressure connection of the NPT versions can be changed by turning the control block. The product connections of the sizes with pipe threads 25, 55 and 135 are both located on the front of the pump.
The CXM series replaces the previous CX and CXR series. As before, the pump size generally indicates the maximum flow rate in l/min, but the performance curves of the CXM pumps show improved values.
The NPT sizes CXM 10, CXM 20, CXM 50 and CXM 130 correspond to the old CX series in terms of connection sizes and positions; the variants with pipe thread - CXM 25, CXM 55, CXM 135 - can replace the existing OEM pumps from the obsolete CUBUS series.
Technical data
The connection types and sizes at a glance:
|
NPT connections |
Pipe thread connections |
|
CXM 10 = NPT ⅜" |
|
|
CXM 20 = NPT ½" |
CXM 25 = R ½" |
|
CXM 50 = NPT ¾" |
CXM 55 = R 1" |
|
CXM 130 = NPT 1¼" |
CXM 135 = R 1½" |
This wide range of connections allows the pump to be precisely customised to the specific application. This is reinforced by the alternative choice between ball and cylinder valve systems, which can also be converted alternately. Ball valves are insensitive to media containing solids, cylinder valves enable very good dry suction values for clear liquids.
Flow optimisation in the product channels ensures high performance and gentle conveying. The CXM series adopts the ring tensioning structure typical of the E Series. This structure has the great advantage of transferring the point loads of the individual tie rods to the pump housing in a uniform and "gentle" surface load — thus increasing leakage safety.
More features at a glance:
- Construction of solid conductive PE that are ATEX and FDA compliant
- Self-priming and dry-running safe
- Diaphragms in EPDM, PTFE/EPDM composite or NBR, housing seals in the diaphragm material plus further options for PTFE diaphragms and seals
- Clear and handy design for easy transport and flexible use
- Simple and robust pump with a compact, space-saving design
- Complete container emptying
- Same diaphragms and the same Perswing P® air control system as the E series
