Almatec AHD/AHS

Description

High-pressure diaphragm pump series AHD and AHS

ALMATEC air-operated diaphragm pumps in the AHD and AHS series have been specially developed for safe high-pressure applications up to 15 bar.

The high-pressure diaphragm pumps in the AHD series have an internal pressure ratio. With a drive pressure of max. 7 bar, they achieve a delivery pressure of 15 bar due to the internal pressure ratio. The "D" in AHD stands for duplex, i.e. the amplification of the drive pressure via the internal pressure increase in a ratio of more than 2:1. The pumps in the AHD series are available in three sizes with maximum flow rates of 4 m³/h (AHD 15), 10 m³/h (AHD 25) and 20 m³/h (AHD 40). These pumps are typically used for feeding filter presses.

The two sizes in the AHS series (AHS 15 and AHS 25) do not have an internal pressure booster. However, the extremely robust design also enables higher delivery pressures. The maximum drive pressure and delivery pressure is 15 bar. In principle, the AHS series is suitable for all applications under heavy-duty conditions, from low variable delivery pressures to high-pressure applications. The "S" in AHS stands for simplex, because here the drive pressure is transferred to the medium in a 1:1 ratio. Due to this 1:1 ratio, the appropriate supply air pressure must be provided, e.g. from the compressor itself or a compressed air booster, which is also available from Almatec.

If you require a high delivery pressure of 15 bar - regardless of whether it is an AHD pump with an internal pressure intensifier or an AHS pump that achieves the delivery pressure by means of an external booster - you can do so safe in the knowledge that the pump is also designed for such pressure ranges and does not need to be held together by external reinforcements.
