Air-operated diaphragm pump from the Biocor series

The ALMATEC BIOCOR pump series has been specially developed for the sterile sector of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food industries. The air-operated diaphragm pumps are EHEDG-certified and ATEX-compliant in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC. Pump sizes B 20 and B 32 3-A are approved in the PTFE material combination (diaphragms, valve balls, O-rings) with the special equipment diaphragm monitoring. The easy-to-clean design with the integrated cleaning system leads to CIP and SIP capability.

 

Always required for sterile applications: None of the housing parts have any horizontal surfaces or spaces. Each pump is supplied with four valve lifting solenoids that can be attached to the outside of the product housing at the height of the four valve balls. The valve balls are magnetically lifted from their seats and the entire unit runs empty without leaving any residue when installed. There are no mechanical ball lifters with parts and seals in contact with the product (valve lifting solenoids only for B 20 and B 32).

 

The three sizes B 20, B 32 and B 40 achieve maximum flow rates of 3.5/7.5/17 m³/h at a delivery head of up to 7 bar. Electropolished stainless steel 1.4435 (Basle standard II, ferrite content < 1%) is used as the pump material for the area in contact with the product; the roughness depth is < 0.4 µm. The control block is made of conductive polyethylene (PE).
