Zuwa Nirostar ATEX impeller pumps
Description
ZUWA NIROSTAR ATEX impeller pump
The world's first impeller pump for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
The NIROSTAR ATEX is the world's first impeller pump with ATEX approval. All the electronics are mounted together with the pump on a sturdy trolley with large, solid-rubber tyres (electrically conductive). The trolley has a height-adjustable telescopic handle, which ensures that it is ideal for mobile use on factory premises. Thanks to its compact design, the NIROSTAR ATEX can be transported in almost any car.
The NIROSTAR ATEX has all the advantages of a high-quality impeller pump, is dry self-priming, particularly suitable for corrosive, abrasive liquids and absolutely pulsation-free.
This impeller pump meets the requirements of category 2G of EU Directive 2014/34 both internally and externally. It is designed for pumping flammable liquids of explosion group IIB and temperature class T2. It can be installed in areas where there are potentially explosive atmospheres consisting of gases and vapours of explosion group IIB and temperature class T2.
What is ATEX?
ATEX is an abbreviation and stands for "ATmosphère EXplosible” (EXplosive ATmosphere). ATEX is also the abbreviation for EU Directive 2014/34 on the placing on the market of explosion-protected electrical and mechanical equipment, components and protective systems. It came into force on 1 July, 2003 and has applied to all new devices and protective equipment since then.
Approval for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
The ATEX NIROSTAR series has undergone a type examination by a notified body, in accordance with Annex III of EU Directive 2014/34, including the essential health and safety requirements in accordance with Annex II of Directive 2014/34/EU, as a category 2 non-electrical device.
The type examination certificate number is: BVS 18 ATEX H 004 X
