BROQUET Gear Pumps for Sugar and Derivatives
Description
Specially developed gear pumps are available for the sugar industry, designed to meet the demanding conditions of crystallization processes. With over 50 years of experience, solutions are offered for every stage of the process—from raw material processing to by-products.
The pumps are particularly suitable for conveying viscous media with a high solids content, such as liquids containing sugar crystals. They are used worldwide in sugar factories (cane and beet sugar) as well as in refineries, where they are among the preferred technologies.
In addition to classic applications in sugar production, the pumps are also used in downstream processes, for example in:
- Molasses processing (e.g. yeast production, animal feed)
- Processing of side streams in distilleries and bioethanol plants
Thanks to different rotor variants and pump configurations, the systems can be optimally adapted to specific process conditions, media, and viscosities.
The product range includes several sizes and offers flow rates from approximately 5 to 250 m³/h. The pumps are available in both cast iron and stainless steel and can be customized to specific requirements through various options (e.g. bearings, seals, safety valves).
BROQUET Pumps offers different pump configurations for applications in the sugar industry:
| Application | Pump type |
| Massecuite & Magma | KMC |
| Molasses & Run-off | KX |
| Cold molasses | KB |
