Chemical Process Pumps Reinvented: SCHMITT NEOChem

With the new NEOChem Base and NEOChem Core series, Schmitt expands its portfolio with two advanced chemical process pumps. The magnetically coupled pumps comply with ISO 2858 and ISO 15783 standards and are available with ETFE or PFA linings.

NEOChem pumps are specifically designed for demanding industrial applications. They combine a seal-less magnetic drive with a robust outer protection (“armor”) construction, along with high-quality ETFE carbon-fiber or PFA lining. This design ensures excellent corrosion resistance and reliable performance, even under challenging operating conditions.

A key feature is the hermetically sealed design without mechanical seals. This guarantees completely leak-free operation and maximum safety—especially when handling critical, expensive, or environmentally hazardous fluids.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Maximum operational safety: Seal-less magnetic coupling eliminates leakage risks
  • High chemical resistance: Ideal for aggressive, toxic, and high-purity fluids
  • Robust construction: Plastic lining combined with a durable outer shell reliably protects against corrosion and contamination
  • Easy maintenance: Back-pull-out design allows servicing without dismantling the piping system—for minimal downtime
  • High availability: Fluid-flushed bearing cooling system reduces maintenance effort and extends service life

The NEOChem Core series is also suitable for process temperatures up to +150 °C, meeting the highest requirements in thermally demanding applications.

Quattroflow® four-piston diaphragm pumps in TFF applications

The manufacture of biologics for the development of biopharmaceutical drugs and therapeutics requires precise, reliable, and safe processes. One of the most common and critical of these steps is tangential flow filtration (TFF), also known to some as “cross-flow filtration.”
