The patented PSG Biotech pumps are unique positive displacement pumps that can be manufactured so cost-effectively that they can be considered part of the disposable liquid pack.
PSG Biotech has a wide range of standard pump sizes with a minimum resolution of down to 1µl for the smallest pump and a flow rate of up to 26 ml/s for the largest pump. As a rule, you can expect dosing accuracy of more than +/- 3 % across all pump sizes.
The single-use pumps can handle a wide viscosity range from water (1 cP) to > 100,000 cP and are able to pump particles and substances as well as perform dilution and mixing in the pump. This enables users to remove water from their distribution channels.
All pumps can be configured as pressure-controlled pumps or high-pressure pumps with operating pressures of up to 5 bar. The pump acts as an immediate non-return valve, i.e. no liquid flows through the pump when it is not turning.
The pump, which is part of the liquid package, ensures that the liquid never has to flow through the dispensing system. This means that replacing one fluid with another does not cause cross-contamination and reduces cleaning and maintenance work.
